Hailing from sunny California, Dr. Lee attended University of California at Davis for his bachelor's degree and doctorate. He was a Golden Key National Honours Society member and vice president of his veterinary class. He holds a master's degree from the University of Iowa and is a board-certified veterinary preventive medicine specialist. He speaks nationally at veterinary conferences on immunology, vaccinology, and infectious disease prevention. Dr. Lee currently helps write the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE), a requirement for any veterinarian who wishes to practice in North America. He pens an educational column in a veterinary magazine and produces podcasts and online articles. He is a contributing author to the Heroes for Healthy Pets™ Infectious Disease Handbook. In 2023, he completed a 16-hour hands-on abdominal surgical course at Colorado State University. He is an active member of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS) and holds certifications in RECOVER: Advanced Life Support and CPR, Cat Friendly Veterinarian through AAFP, Fear Free, and Compassion Fatigue. Dr. Lee is passionate about clear communication and being a voice for the voiceless. In his free time, he enjoys reading, visiting local museums, and spending time with friends.
