Dr. Townsend graduated from Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine in 1992 and studied Biomedical Sciences for his undergraduate degree. With over 30 years of experience, he has worked in both Emergency and Day Practice, specializing in surgical cases. Dr. Townsend is currently focused on increasing his skills with diagnostic ultrasound and endoscopy in the emergency and critical care setting. When not in the hospital, he enjoys spending time with his family and pets, including 3 cats, a dog, and 2 tortoises. He and his wife co-own and operate a small commercial vegetable farm, and he is an avid beekeeper with a passion for growing fruit trees.
