A Difficult Decision Deserves Time, Clarity, and Kindness.

Saying goodbye to a beloved pet is one of the hardest decisions a family can face. At the Veterinary Emergency Center of Redlands, we offer compassionate end-of-life services, including thorough consultations with our veterinarians to ensure this difficult decision is the right one for your pet and your family.

We follow established standards for veterinary care and make this experience as gentle and respectful as possible for both pets and the people who love them.

Comfort and Care at Every Step

1

Start With a Conversation

Whether your pet is declining, seriously ill, or has experienced a sudden injury, call us. We will listen to your concerns and help you decide what’s best for your pet.

2

Compassionate Evaluation

When you arrive, a veterinarian will assess your pet’s comfort and condition, explain what they are seeing, and talk through the options available for your pet.

3

Time & Privacy to Say Goodbye

If euthanasia is the kindest option, we will explain what to expect before proceeding and give your family time and privacy with your pet.

Pet Cremation Services

We provide private and communal cremation. Pawprint keepsakes and other memorial items are also available, and our team can walk you through each choice when you're ready.

Private Cremation

With private cremation, your pet’s ashes are returned to you in an urn of your choosing. This option may be meaningful for families who would like to bring their pet home and create a personal memorial.

Communal Cremation

With communal cremation, ashes are spread in the ocean off local shores through our trusted partner. More information is available through our end-of-life provider or in hospital. This option provides a loving way to remember your pet without having ashes returned.
