Foreign Body Removal

When a pet swallows something it shouldn't — a toy, bone, sock, or other object — the item can block the digestive tract and quickly become dangerous. We remove the object and repair any damage it caused along the way.

Gastric Dilatation-Volvulus (GDV) or Bloat Surgery
GDV (Bloat) Surgery

GDV, often called "bloat" or "twisted stomach," happens when a dog's stomach fills with gas (dilatation) and then rotates or twists on itself (volvulus), cutting off blood flow. It's one of the most time-sensitive emergencies we see, and acting quickly with surgery to untwist and secure the stomach gives your dog the strongest chance at recovery.

Major Wound Repair
Major Wound Repair

Deep lacerations, bite wounds, and injuries from accidents often need more than stitches. We clean, repair, and close major wounds to support healing and help prevent infection.

Cystotomy (Bladder Surgery)
Cystotomy (Bladder Surgery)

A cystotomy opens the bladder to remove stones, blockages, or other obstructions keeping your pet from urinating normally — a condition that can turn dangerous quickly if left untreated.

Pyometra Treatment (Uterine Infection Surgery)
Pyometra Treatment (Uterine Infection Surgery)

Pyometra is a serious uterine infection in unspayed female pets that requires emergency surgery to remove the infected tissue. Catching it early and acting quickly gives your pet the best chance at making a full recovery.

Amputation
Amputation

When a limb is too severely injured or diseased to save, amputation can relieve pain and help your pet get back to a comfortable, active life. Our surgical team performs amputation with care and precision. Most pets recover remarkably well and learn to adapt to life quickly.

Not Sure If It’s An Emergency?

Don’t wait – call now or come in. If you are concerned about your pet’s health, so are we. Our team will assess your pet right away and walk you through what to do next.

Surgical Safety & Monitoring

Surgery starts with certainty. Before your pet goes under anesthesia, in-house imaging and lab testing confirm what is happening and whether surgery is the right next step. Once surgery is the plan, our focus turns to one thing – keeping your pet safe throughout the procedure.

Dog on ventilator support

Ventilator Support

Supports your pet's breathing during surgery and provides extra oxygen when it's needed most. This is especially critical for pets in respiratory distress or under anesthesia for longer procedures.

Cat being seen by a veterinarian.

Electro-Cautery

Controls bleeding during surgery with precision, sealing small vessels as we work. This keeps procedures safer and helps your pet recover with less trauma to surrounding tissue.

Dog being monitored by veterinarians.

Advanced Monitoring

Tracks your pet's heart rate, oxygen levels, and vital signs continuously throughout surgery. Any change is caught immediately, so our team can respond in real time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Emergency pet surgeries are performed on-site by an experienced surgeon. We prioritize clear communication before, during, and after your pet's surgery, ensuring you're informed and comfortable every step of the way. Our goal is to make the surgical process as smooth and stress-free as possible for both you and your pet.

Some procedures require your pet to stay with us overnight for monitoring and recovery, while others allow them to go home the same day. Our team will let you know what to expect based on your pet's specific procedure and how they're recovering, and we'll keep a close eye on them for as long as they need it.

Not always. Some objects pass on their own, while others need to be removed. Call us and describe what happened, and we can help you figure out the next step.

We understand emergency surgery isn't planned. You'll receive a treatment plan and estimate before anything begins, and we'll walk you through financing and payment options at that time. We accept flexible financing options like CareCredit, All Pet Card, ScratchPay, and Affirm. Visit our payment and financing page for more information.
